After graduating from the University of Wisconsin in 1997 with a focus in painting, Josh began his career at Blue Lotus in Madison. In 2000, He accepted an offer to work at Iron Age Tattoo in St. Louis, Missouri where he continues to this day.
Influenced at an early age by Welsh and German faerie tales, Josh began to approach these stories more as internal monologues and the inner worlds they create. With the benefit of traveling from tattooing and direct cultural experiences, he is able to explore the visual language of these traditions through brush and paint.
